Your Pacific Side pickup begins in the morning or late morning, depending on the whale-watching departure you select.

After arriving near Cabo San Lucas Marina, complete check-in and board the whale-watching vessel.

The crew helps guests identify whale species, natural behavior and visible activity when possible.

Guests may have opportunities to observe:

  • Humpback whales
  • California gray whales
  • Mothers with calves
  • Whale spouts
  • Breaches
  • Tail slaps
  • Pectoral fin slaps
  • Surface activity
  • Dolphins
  • Sea turtles
  • Sea lions
  • Seabirds
  • Other marine life

Wildlife is natural and unpredictable.

No whale species, number of sightings, distance from the vessel or specific behavior can be guaranteed.

After the cruise, enjoy independent time around Cabo Marina and Puerto Paraíso before meeting your Omega Tours driver for the scheduled shared return.

The Sunset Whale Watching option is a more limited seasonal experience.

It combines wildlife watching with late-afternoon and sunset scenery.

After boarding, sail through Cabo San Lucas Bay and toward the Pacific-facing waters where whales may be present.

The crew helps identify species and behavior while guests enjoy light snacks, beverages and the sunset atmosphere.

The route may include views of:

  • The Arch of Cabo San Lucas
  • Land’s End
  • Lover’s Beach
  • Divorce Beach
  • Pelican Rock
  • Neptune’s Finger
  • The sea lion colony
  • Medano Beach
  • Cabo’s granite coastline

Whales may be encountered before, during or after the sunset portion.

Because this is a wildlife experience, no sightings can be guaranteed.

After returning to Cabo Marina, guests continue their evening with independent Cabo time before the late-night Omega Tours return.

Whale watching is not a performance.

Whales are wild animals moving freely through the ocean.

The captain and crew determine the vessel route, viewing distance, speed and time spent near wildlife according to marine conditions, legal requirements, safety and responsible wildlife-viewing practices.

Guests must:

  • Follow crew instructions
  • Avoid shouting toward wildlife
  • Avoid throwing objects into the ocean
  • Avoid feeding wildlife
  • Avoid attempting to touch wildlife
  • Keep personal belongings secure
  • Respect the natural environment
  • Remain in designated vessel areas when instructed

Whale welfare and marine safety always take priority over sightseeing goals.

The crew may provide information about:

  • Humpback whales
  • California gray whales
  • Migration patterns
  • Mother-and-calf behavior
  • Breaching
  • Tail slapping
  • Fin slapping
  • Whale communication
  • Seasonal ocean conditions
  • Cabo’s marine environment
  • Conservation awareness

The exact educational content depends on crew operation, wildlife activity, group size and conditions.
